They are also known as "Zero One", from their Chinese name 零壹 Líng yī (where "ling" means "zero" and "yi" means "one", written in
complex form used, for example, in checks). They, as in this interview, define their music "dark age".
I've been beaten to death under the mirror
all of my humanity got smashed into pieces
e tutta la mia natura umana è in frantumi
I am killing my mum
sto uccidendo la mia mamma
but I swear it is to defend myself.
ma giuro che è per autodifesa.
If I can see,
Se posso vedere,
if I can hear,
se posso sentire,
If I feel,
se ho percezione,
can I....?
posso....?
In the end I can only be zero,
alla fine posso solo essere zero
staying forever on this number line.
rimanendo per sempre su questa retta numerica.
I die as if in a dance,
La mia morte pare una danza,
performing the role of myself in the puppet show I play in.
interpretando me stesso nello spettacolo di burattini in cui recito.
If I can see,
Se posso vedere,
if I can hear,
se posso sentire,
if I feel,
Se ho percezione,
can I...?
posso...?
About the meaning of Voodoo Kungfu's music, here's what the singer adfirmed:
“I sometimes sing about ‘Ci An’ (此岸), which means the temporal side, this life, this body. Voodoo Kungfu’s music is made by animals, and for animals.”
The lyrics you can read above are the result of some different sources and what I Myself coul hear in the song. So, if anyone were to notice some differences, I would be glad to correct the lyrics.
See you next post O(∩_∩)O~
